Why take on Ride500?

Like so many others, my family is sadly no stranger to this heinous disease. Over the years we have lost my father, my sister-in-law and two uncles to various forms of cancer.
Earlier this month we also lost my wife, Kerri's, dad to pancreatic cancer. Dave put up an unbelievable fight for 3 years and 1 day after being diagnosed as having Stage 4 pancreatic cancer.
So over September I am attempting to ride 500km to raise funds to help those individuals and families who are going through what I witnessed Dave, Kerri and the rest of her family endure. Hopefully we might even help find a cure. I'm 8 weeks post op from a hip replacement so I might be being a little optimistic with my riding goal but I've been given the all clear from the physio to be cycling again so I'm going to give it a crack.
Feel free to make a donation if you are in a position to.

I'm taking on the Ride500 challenge to help end cancer! Please support my Ride by making a donation.

Cancer is a leading cause of death in Australia and sadly, 1 in 2 Australians will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. But together, we can help change this by raising some serious coin to help end cancer for good.

Your donation will help fund life-saving cancer research and prevention programs, as well as provide vital support services to people impacted by cancer.

Thank you!
