1,501km ✊🚲👍❤️
Pretty happy with that km total! The rest were runs. Now just need to raise a few more $ for this awesome cause!UCI All Abilities Ride
I was absolutely stoked to take part in the UCI All Abilities ride this weekend with hundreds of other riders owning the streets of Wollongong. On Saturday afternoon at 2pm we passed beneath the start arch on the track it made everyone who took part feel very special as they got to experience the streets in a whole new way. Fantastic!!!Cracked the 5 hungey
Righto I’ve cracked the 500 so might have to reset my target - I think 1,200 sounds good!Tour da Country
So I rode up to Helensburgh this morning and joined the Tour da Country crew as part of the start of UCI. After welcome to country the group ride to Wollongong where the weather was so bad they called the ride. I carried on up to Mt Keira then home yo claim a Gran Fondo (100km+) ride for the day.Getting started
Well after a week of skiing I am back in Wollongong and ready to get things underway in the Battle. Started off with a couple of rides back from dropping off cars and now looking forward to tomorrows early start for Tour da Country from Helensburgh!Ed Birt I COO I The Disability Trust
The Disability Trust supports 4000 people with disability and their families every day with amazing services delivered by exceptional staff from Newcastle to Bega and Canberra and the Snowy and services even further afield in Queensland and Victoria.
Ed loves the diversity and the amazing teams of staff who are working hard to achieve their vision of inclusion for people with disability.
Ed is no stranger to cycling, in fact he rides every day a 50km commute round trip whenever he is in the office in Wollongong (rain hail or shine) It seems 500Kms will be EASY for Ed.
Last year he rode the Indian Pacific Wheel Race from Fremantle Western Australia to the Sydney Opera House via the Great Ocean Road and Alps, a 5500km journey in 22 days.
Looking forward to seeing Ed smash his 500KM goal as a serious contender in the Wollongong Battle of the Bosses!

Please support my Ride by making a donation.
Cancer is a leading cause of death in Australia and sadly, 1 in 2 Australians will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. But together, we can help change this by raising some serious coin to help end cancer for good.
Your donation will help fund life-saving cancer research and prevention programs, as well as provide vital support services to people impacted by cancer.
Thank you!
